Stencil Crush Tuesday 2-28

quick-easy-art-journal-page

Good Morning Friends and thank you so much for being here with me today for another Stencil Crush Tuesday Video.  This week’s video is a shorty, but I think it really packs a punch.  I am always inspired by other artists who create quite a bit different than myself.  This week’s video is inspired by Dina Wakley.  Over the summer I had challenged myself while working in my art journal to leave some “white space”.  For some reason this concept continues to elude me.  You will see in this video I actually had to “think” about leaving white space, I know it sounds so crazy!  But I challenge any of you out there who are like me and just LOVE TO COVER THE PAGE, to give it a try.  Feel free to leave me a link here to your blog and be sure to link your blog post back to this post as well 🙂 I would love to see your work!!

In the details of my video on my YouTube Channel I reference the video by Dina Wakley that inspired this art journal page and her technique.  This challenge also reminded me that even when you create what seems “Quick and Simple ” it can have a profound impact and also this is a wonderful way to create when you don’t have lots of time to make a long elaborate page.  I am using some of my absolute favorite stencils today by Artist Mary C. Nasser as well as a newer stencil by Marybeth Shaw and a fun texture stencil by Pam Carriker.  So as they say….. on with the show (or video lol 🙂

Mary C. Nasser:  Go Your Own Way Mini Stencil, Around Here Arrows Mini Stencil

MaryBeth Shaw:  Planner Geo 6

Pam Carriker: Journal Texture #1 Stencil

Painted pages on a budget

Recently a friend online asked about how to create pages without all the fancy stamps and stencils and products that they see me use.  So knowing that we all have other things in our lives that have to come first in our budgets I decided to create this video to share some ideas of things you can use and things that I do currently use that you probably already have laying around the house.

Hope you enjoy and wishing everyone a fabulous weekend ❤❤❤

Valentine’s Day Stencil Crush Tuesday™ 2/14

Hi Everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day and of course welcome to this weeks Stencil Crush Tuesday Post so happy you are here!! 🙂

So most of you are probably thinking that I have this mushy “Love” project for all of you today for Stencil Crush Tuesday™ since it is falling on Valentine’s Day.  Well although I have to admit that I am without a doubt a true hopeless romantic that is not the kind of project I have in store for you today.  Instead I chose to share a few tips and tricks of mine using one of my great “art loves” Gelli Printing and 3 of my favorite stencils that I love for Gelli printing.

There are TONS of gelli printing videos out there for sure and all of them fabulous and I don’t pretend to be the “amazing Gelli Print” artist because I’m probably more of a novice after seeing what many others do, but one of the things I love to create Gelli Prints for is my art journal backgrounds, collage elements, embellishments and just because they are pure fun to make.  So this is my take on some “simple and fun” gelli printing with my favorite StencilGirl Stencils, I hope that it gives you some fun ideas and inspires you just to get out that gelli plate and have fun!! (there maybe a couple little added surprises in there , but you will have to watch and see 😉

Stencils used in todays video are:

Clustered Leaves – Cecilia Swatton

Fractured Glass – MaryBeth Shaw

Circles Circles – Traci Bautista

Just look at all these delicious Gelli Prints, Loving them all!!

Here are a few close ups of some of my favorite prints during this printing session.

All of these stencils can be found at StencilGirlProducts.com (and also if you click on any of the above they will take you directly to that stencil.)  Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook as I will be sharing, in the weeks to come, projects I created using these beautiful gelli prints!

You can find past Stencil Crush Tuesday Video’s Here.  Also if you enjoy my videos please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel and share the videos with your friends 🙂

“Your Love is Precious

Don’t Forget to give it

to the most important

Person in your life…..
